Here's another welcome addition to your collection if you fancy taking your house tracks in another direction.

Bass house always reminds me of techno (the tempo is usually the same) but if you have never heard of the genre, be informed courtesy of the rteyourmusic.com website which says:

Bass house is a style of House that emerged when deep house gained popularity in the early to mid 2010s. The genre stemmed from producers experimenting with influences of various form of "bass music", especially Brostep. A typical bass house track blends 4x4 beats and synths that are already commonly found in house with bass wobbles and other synths often found in brostep and similar genres.

Like brostep, the tempo is usually set at around 140 BPM, but can also be at the more common house tempo, 128 BPM. Another element found in brostep that is often included in the genre is half-time kick/snare sections, mainly in the drops.

The drums in bass house are a lot more active than typical house drums, often being heavily influenced by UK Garage. Bass house is a somewhat broad term since producers can lean closer to either the deep house or the harder, bass music side of the spectrum in their music.

It's not uncommon for influences of Trap [EDM] to be included in the genre, such as sub kicks, rapid hi-hats, 808 kicks and snares, vocal chants and high-pitch synth-stabs.

There's also an influence of Electro House in many bass house tracks. This influence is typically found in distorted synths.  Some of the most notable artists in the genre include Jauz, JVST SAY YES, Habstrakt and the duo Ephwurd which includes brostep producer Datsik.

Producer Loop says this second volume once again takes influence from Jauz and Twoloud to bring you bang up-to-date with the latest sounds of Bass House, so, as always with Producer Loops, you know you are in good hands.

You get five packed (and named) kits which are:

  • Barberry - Em at 128bpm
  • Enemy - Fm at 128bpm
  • Burn - Gm at 128bpm
  • Piggy - F#m at 125bpm
  • Ally - Fm at 125bpm

The top-notch sounds include: bass (naturally!!!), chords, drops, fills, drums, tops, synth, percs, FX, plucks and stabs.

What an ace second volume indeed. Zap the link to be whizzed to the product page, enjoy the streaming audio and then snap it up today!
