Summer House Anthems Vol 2 - ACIDized WAV/Apple Loops/AIFF Files/REX2 Loops/Ableton Live Pack 8.1.3+/ Reason ReFill/MIDI - Royalty-free - £34.95/41.33 euros - d/load
Of course it's a while yet since we quit the EU so there is at least another summer when you should be able to get a cheapo holiday to the likes of Ibiza when the good old sounds of Summer House will be rattling your eardrums.
In the meantime, why not craft your own tracks with this eagerly-awaited second volume in the Summer House series?
Producer Loops say: 'Summer House Anthems Vol 2 reignites this feel-good series inspired by heavy-duty House names like EDX, Kaskade, Cedric Gervais and Sultan & Shepard. Producer Loops enlisted an expert House producer with multiple Top 100 releases on labels like Sony, Spinnin', Ultra and Toolroom, all with the goal of crafting five Construction Kits that evoke the sun-drenched vibes of the White Isle.'
You can't say better than that - and as always, you get five folders stuffed with class audio containing everything you need to create a top tune.
The kits are:
- Take me There - F# at 124bpm
- Forever - C# at 124bpm
- Greener Times - A at 124bpm
- Lost Our Way - F# at 124bpm
- Flowers - D at 120bpm
Snap open a kit and you the first thing you see is all the drums and percs you need and another four folders containing wet, dry, MIDI and tailed loops.
As I've mentioned, the files are jammed with stuff and you get the likes of bass, pianos, organ, leads, plucks, pads, strings, guitars, arps - the works!
I've often said this but the kits themselves are a great for the novice because you can see exactly 'what goes with what' and how the producer of this library has laid down the tracks.
For the likes of we old hands at the game, it goes without saying, as with EVERY Producer Loops collection, it's so easy to mix and match their stuff with other genres, so, at 124bpm you can ramp the sounds up a couple of notches if you fancy a techno-style 130bpm track or even down to a nice chillaxing 100 with no loss of the audio quality whatsoever.
Another great thing that Producer Loops pioneered yonks ago is that everything 'snaps' to whatever bpm you fancy and of course the kits are key-labelled too, so that's another bonus when mixing 'n' matching with other PL products.
I still find it amazing (although many other loop producers out there are getting their acts together) that a lot of companies seem to think key-labelling is non-essential. I think it deffo is and it saves tons of faffing about looking for the right key to fit a bassline etc. Hats off to Producer Loops for continuing to tell us what the keys are!
Click the link below to hear Summer House Anthems Vol 2 for yourself via the site's streaming audio - and yes, the kind PL folks even let you download a zip file with free samples from this collection, so what is there not to love?
Enjoy, buy, and create some super summer sounds for yourself...
